Raised by immigrant parents in Venezuela, Ruben Fernandez de Avila was taught from an early age the importance of perseverance and justice. His career as a tax attorney was flourishing until Venezuela’s political turmoil forced him to leave his homeland. In the U.S., Ruben earned his Master’s in International Law and passed the Texas Bar, driven by a deep desire to continue his work in law. His own immigrant story fuels his passion to advocate for his clients—people who, like him, are seeking a better future.
Ruben’s early work in the U.S. was with nonprofit organizations, where he provided legal assistance and education to immigrants in detention centers. Now, as a respected immigration attorney, Ruben remains committed to helping others navigate their immigration journeys and achieve their dreams.
